However, with the onset of the Great Recession, real estate development slowed to a halt in many areas, including Lane County. Haffner and Johnson were unable to make payments on the loan and defaulted, according to property records.
For an undiclosed sum, the Watch Tower group transferred its security in the property to Carver in September 2013, according to property records. Several days later, Haffner and Johnson handed the land over to Carver in lieu of foreclosure, according to records.

what would be their motive for these details?
the rest of the letter outlines 8 specific pieces of information to compile and send to bethel's legal department, and reiterates to collect the information only be "as you understand, without consulting the publisher.

(New Zealand is now under the Australian branch office, but I don't know whether bodies of elders in this country are also receiving this letter).
